I hope everyone had a great summer. The sun is still shining and I look forward to having a very productive Fall. I want to take this opportunity to give you a very short library orientation. REMEMBER if you cannot read this now, this post will reside permanently here in the library blog.
The library has two public collections:
1. Vanderbilt – 2nd floor
2. Arts Center (AC 2nd floor – Donna Romero’s Room)
The Library Catalog is here:
http://opac.libraryworld.com/opac/home (NOTE: type “saas” / no password needed) A quick video tutorial on how to use the catalog is here: https://saaslibrary.wordpress.com/2012/03/23/how-to-use-the-library-catalog/
Searching for specialty items in the catalog:
• For DVDs or Videos search the catalog using these terms, in the plural.
• For Kindle Books search for “Kindle Archives” – no quotes.
• For audiovisual equipment search for “AV Equipment” – no quotes.
The Library Moodle Site is here:
Why use the Library Moodle site? All of the catalog and database links are live and this page includes off-campus id/passwords for databases. If you do not see the Library Moodle site in your list of courses, please enroll yourself. If it doesn’t work write me at: firstname.lastname@example.org
That’s it for now. Call (676-6825) or write (email@example.com) if you have more questions.
